Hi Ro,
Firstly, I am sorry it has taken us so long to come back to you, and thank you so much for taking the time to explain what happened.
I want to reassure you completely: you did absolutely nothing wrong. This was a glitch on our end, where an internal code applied itself automatically at checkout, and that is exactly why it went through with no payment step and was then cancelled. It was ours to sort out, not anything you did, and I am sorry our earlier email came across as though we thought otherwise. That was not fair on you.
As a genuine thank-you for your patience and your honesty, I would like to give you £10 off a future order with the code STORECREDIT10, so you are not left out of pocket over the whole experience.
Thank you again for being so gracious about it.
Warm regards,
Anna

Hi Anna,
I didn't enter this or any code at all, but I did notice it had appeared automatically when I went to check out. I figured it was to do with the "70% off" site offer and didn't notice it had made the total £0.
When I clicked to place the order, I'd assumed I would be asked to enter payment details, but it went straight to order completion. I thought this was very odd and I assumed incorrect, so I'm not surprised the order has been cancelled!
Sorry I can't be of more help.
Best wishes,
Ro

Subject: Regarding Your Recent Order
Dear Ro,
Thank you for your recent order with Marlow London.
We've noticed that the discount code SORRY60 was used during checkout. This code was created as a personal goodwill gesture for a small number of customers who were affected by a previous stock issue and was not intended for general use or sharing.
Unfortunately, because this code was used without authorisation, your order will not be fulfilled or dispatched. The order has therefore been cancelled and will not be shipped under these conditions.
We would, however, appreciate it if you could let us know where you obtained this discount code. This will help us understand how it was shared and prevent similar situations in the future.
If you're willing to help us clarify how you received the code, we'd be happy to review your case afterwards and see whether we can offer you an alternative goodwill gesture as a thank you for your cooperation. While we can't promise anything at this stage, we'd certainly be happy to look into it.
We appreciate your understanding and look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Anna
