Dear Customer Service,
I am writing regarding my recent order placed with Marlow London.
I am concerned about the status of my order and would like an immediate update on its progress, including a valid tracking number and the expected delivery date.
If my order cannot be fulfilled and delivered within the timeframe originally promised, I request that you cancel my order and issue a full refund to my original payment method without delay.
Please treat this as a formal request. If I do not receive a satisfactory response within five working days, I will have no option but to pursue a chargeback or other appropriate action through my payment provider and report the matter to the relevant consumer protection authorities.
I look forward to your prompt response and resolution.
Kind regards,
David Inglis

Your order contains:
- 1x Longchamp Le Pliage Tote in Black

Re: Order #3217 – Request for Proof of Dispatch or Immediate Cancellation and Refund
Dear Anna,
Thank you for your response.
I note your assertion that my order (#3217) has been shipped and is "on its way". However, the tracking information you provided does not currently demonstrate that the parcel has been handed to a courier or is in transit. It only indicates that shipment information has been created, which is not evidence of physical dispatch.
Accordingly, I ask that you provide, within 2 working days:
Confirmation of the courier responsible for delivery.
Documentary evidence that the parcel has been physically handed over to the courier, including the date and time of dispatch.
Confirmation of the expected delivery date.
If you are unable to provide satisfactory evidence that the goods have been dispatched, I require that my order be cancelled and a full refund issued to my original payment method without further delay.
For the avoidance of doubt, I reserve all of my statutory rights under applicable consumer protection legislation. Nothing in your response is accepted as proof that the goods have been dispatched or delivered, and I do not waive any rights to seek a chargeback, raise a dispute with my payment provider, or pursue any other remedy available to me should the goods fail to arrive, be materially different from those ordered, or if the contract is otherwise not fulfilled.
I look forward to your prompt response and resolution.
Kind regards,
David Inglis

David,
Thank you for your message, and I appreciate you setting out your requirements clearly.
I want to address your concerns directly and honestly.
I can confirm honestly what our system actually shows: order #3217 was fulfilled and a tracking number was issued on 26 July 2026. Since then, I can see no scan or update from the courier - which matches what you have already pointed out. This means I am not able to evidence that the parcel has been physically collected by the courier, only that a shipping label was created on our end. You can view the tracking here: https://marlow-london.com/apps/parcelpanel?nums=WNBAA0485394537YQ
However, I recognise that you have requested specific documentary evidence - confirmation of the courier, the date and time of physical handover, and the exact expected delivery date. I want to be honest with you here: we do not hold the courier's internal handover records, and this is not documentation we are able to obtain. I cannot provide the level of detail you have asked for.
Regarding your request for cancellation and refund: I need to be clear that we cannot cancel an order or process a refund once it is in transit with the courier. The parcel is no longer in our direct control at this point. This is how international logistics operates.
That said, I want to assure you that should any issue arise once the parcel reaches you - whether the goods do not arrive, are not as described, or if there is any other problem - we are absolutely committed to making it right, up to and including a full refund if needed.
Warm regards,
Anna

Dear Anna,
Thank you for your honest response.
I note your confirmation that you are unable to provide any evidence that the parcel has been physically handed to a courier and that the only evidence available is the creation of a shipping label on 26 July 2026.
In those circumstances, I cannot accept your assertion that the goods are "in transit", as no evidence has been provided that dispatch has actually taken place.
I have acted reasonably by requesting proof of dispatch. You have confirmed that you are unable to provide that proof.
I am therefore formally requesting either:
1. Documentary evidence that the goods have been physically dispatched to a carrier; or
2. A full refund to my original payment method.
If neither can be provided, I will consider that the contract has not been fulfilled and will pursue recovery of the payment through my card issuer. I will also provide copies of our correspondence as evidence that you were unable to substantiate your claim that the goods had been dispatched.
Nothing in this correspondence waives any of my statutory rights or remedies.
I would appreciate your final response within five working days.
Kind regards,
David Inglis

Hi David,
Thank you for your patience while I got to the bottom of this.
I want to be straight with you: order #3217 has now been refunded in full, back to your original payment method. I have checked this directly against our records and it is confirmed processed on our side - you should see it land within a few business days.
There is no need to pursue anything further with your card provider or a consumer authority, this is fully resolved.
I am sorry for the uncertainty this whole process caused you, and thank you for bearing with us while we sorted it properly.
Warm regards,
Anna

Dear David,
You are absolutely right. The label was created on 26 July, but there has been no evidence of carrier pickup or physical handover since then. You asked for proof of dispatch, and the honest answer is: that proof does not exist because the parcel has not been physically collected by the carrier.
Your order has been refunded in full to your original payment method. You will keep both items with our compliments, and there is nothing you need to send back.
Please don't open a dispute with your card issuer, there is really no need for one. A dispute takes a long time to work through, and your refund is already done. Your money will be back with you within 3 to 5 business days.
I sincerely apologise that we were not able to get this sorted for you more quickly.

Dear Anna,
Thank you for your email and for confirming that no evidence of physical dispatch exists and that a full refund has been processed.
I acknowledge your confirmation that the refund has been issued and that it should be credited to my original payment method within 3–5 business days. I will monitor my account and consider the matter resolved once the funds have been received.
Thank you for your assistance.
Kind regards,
